Hamburg launching its second cruise liner terminal
A modern terminal for the Port of Hamburg
In Hamburg, the cruise industry has considerably gained relevance over the last couple of years. Today, Hamburg is by far the most important cruise liner location in all of Germany and a popular destination for international cruise liners alike. The newly built Hamburg Cruise Center Altona will be the port of call for all kinds of cruise liners – even those with a length of 300 metres. On 3rd June Altona’s new cruise liner terminal will be presented to the public with an open day. For the year 2011, Hamburg Cruise Center is expecting 120 cruise liners to enter the port of the Hanseatic city – nearly half of which will be mooring at the quays of the new Hamburg Cruise Center Altona.
